Set within the framework of a broader study of Action Research, this project explores ways of dealing with day-to-day teaching and learning activities in Visual Art Education. This model could be applied by university students who are training to become Visual Art Educators, and is well suited as a point of departure for further research into Curriculum Development. The following aspects will be discussed: qThe researcher’s interaction, with both educators and learners. qThe value of this study as part of redress programmes geared towards changes in South African educational systems. qThe methodology used and the results of the study.
